“Cletus! this is your superior officer, Rosco Pico Train! Come on!”
In the early to mid-80’s when the Dukes of Hazzard was popular I always watched in egar anticipation of the Generel Lee jumping something in a big chase scene. I also thought Sherrif Rosco’s name was ‘Rosco Pico Train.’ Fast forward twenty years — I just about laughed myself off the couch when I learned I had it wrong all this time. The film featuring Jessica Simpson was on TBS and I finally heard it right for the first time. Rosco P. Coltrain Hmm. I guess that makes more sense.
I don’t feel too bad. My lovely wife has been singing the ending of the B52’s “Love Shack” wrong for years too. I busted her in the car one day.
Instead of “tin roof, rusted!” She would sing, “Henry, busted!”
I guess everyone gets it wrong from time to time.

While talking to a co-worker he realized it wasn’t “We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheeps” and was embarrassed no one had ever corrected him at church. After hearing him sing, I realized they probably all had earplugs in.

Wow, amazing! I also thought it was Rosco Piko Train because of the way he said it. I still like the original better than what he really said.
