This Christmas, at my place of employment, management opted to not distribute gifts but rather allow voluntary participation in a white elephant gift exchange. It was fun actually. I gave away a USB powered fan being the gadget geek that I am. The person who won it liked it. Anyway, a coworker of mine received a large stuffed rooster, dressed in drag. The rooster has become something of a phenomenon. He was named Little Jerry and now writes his own blog. It has become quite popular in and outside of my office. You can see for yourself at LittleJerryBlog.com Sources near to Little Jerry tell me his site has received over 1,000 visits in less than a week. He’s doing better than me here. Not that I’m counting.
So the moral of this story is, even a chicken can learn to use wordpress.

Where the heck have I been? Oh yeah, I almost forgot - I have a blog to maintain. ‘Tis the season to get so wrapped up in holiday shopping, parties, family, etc. You know, to good stuff. Anyway - my doll of a wife gave me an iPhone for Christmas. It’s so completely incredible that I’ve been unable to pull myself away from it’s glorious gadgetry long enough to blog. My bad. Christmas was one of the best ever at my household. I can’t think of a low point really. It looks like a toy truck crashed and dumped its payload in my living room. And did I mention I got an iPhone? I also felt quite good about how I spoiled my lovely wife this year with many things from her wish list. I can’t think of anyone who deserves spoiling more than she. Hope your Christmas was everything you wished it would be.

p.s. - man, I should have written this post on the iPhone. Next time…

My son met up with his best friend for the Lights of Lakeland this year. A play date they call it. He’s smitten with her. Everywhere he looks he finds her letter, B, and he never tires of showing it to his mother and I.
I wish my parents would have taken me out and provided this kind of play date for me. What a lucky guy. In other news, the wife and I are going out tonight to a holiday party with friends of our own. We even have a sitter for the kids. Life is good.

Whew. That was a narrow escape. There was a UPS tracking number mix-up and alas, Jesus is safely in route and has been last scanned in Jacksonville, Florida. Weather is good in Florida, and if his luck holds out, (he probably makes his own anyway) he will be delivered to my home tomorrow. What can brown do for you?

Jesus is lost. The entire Holy Family is missing in action. Well, sort of. They are actually in Lutz, FL according to UPS. Now, through my communications with Amazon.com I’m in search of the infant Jesus, 5 pounds 1.6 ounces (by UPS’s measure). I assume it will be an epic search, as most journeys in search of Jesus are. Pray that we may find him.
