It’s about that time of year again. My lawn is awakening from it’s dormancy. I had to fire up the old Honda lawn mower this weekend for the first time this season. It’s pull cord hasn’t been yanked since probably November. I can probably get away with cutting the grass every other week for a month, but very soon we’ll be back to the every 5-days routine. I almost wish I wasn’t so cheap. I’d love to have a yard guy. <sigh> What ever happened to neighborhood kids that wanted to do yard work for cash? My neighbors had two boys, neither of whom would know how to even start a lawn mower. What’s the world coming to?– steve
I’m pretty sure garlic is the culprit of my little breath situation. I had large quantities of chicken wings Friday, many of them were a seriously strong cajun garlic. My lovely wife let me know something was afoul. This news may also vindicate Dr. Pepper.
This is great news. Not only am I a rock start now, I beat Slash in a guitar hero battle this morning, but I also get to return to coffee drinker status. Whoohoo! I’m going to try and limit myself to I cup per morning and see how that goes.

Tonight, I rocked my son to sleep with the lullaby that is Mississippi Queen courtesy of Guitar Hero III - Legends of Rock (for the Nintendo Wii). Awesome. I’ve been wanting this game ever since my lovely wife and I played it at a friend’s house during the holidays. We couldn’t take it anymore, and since the federal income tax return check is securely in the bank, why not treat ourselves? I’m barely able to type this — as my left hand is severely cramping from the past two hours of non-stop play.
I rock.

Friday I told you about my plan to quit drinking coffee, soda, and tea. I am on day six and so far:
Coffee consumed = zero
Soda consumed = zero
Tea consumed = zero
Headaches = two
I’ve had two blinding headaches, yesterday being the worst one. The biggest change that I’ve noticed so far is that I feel hungry all the time. I don’t know for sure how many calories I drank, but I’m beginning to suspect it was a lot. I hadn’t considered the loss of sugar and empty calories I’d be abandoning. Thankfully, today is Wingsday and I can have a large lunch. I’ve had to start eating breakfast to replace my morning coffee. Yesterday, I ate 1/2 pound of cheese with my lunch. Bring on the snacks, I’m starving!
